CBMP John Rudolph Hall,

CBMP John Rudolph Hall

John Rudolph Hall was born Jan. 18, 1907 at Roland, a town of fewer than 1,000 in central Arkansas. His mother, Ida Chapin Hall, was a homemaker and his father, Bruce Hall, a farmer.

It’s unclear when the son first enlisted in the Navy, but the 1930 Census identified him as a seaman first class stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington.

Mr. Hall was a boatswain’s mate and chief petty officer on the U.S.S. Arizona when he was killed in the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, Dec. 7, 1941.
