RM3c Bernard Martin Wilson

Bernard Martin Wilson was born May 22, 1921 in Manhattan, New York City. His father, Edward Wilson, a Polish immigrant, ran a general merchandise store in the Bronx by April 1930 and the family lived in the Mt. Eden district. His mother, Rita Kahn Wilson, was a homemaker.

Young Mr. Wilson enlisted in the Naval Reserve on Oct. 7, 1940. He was a radioman and petty officer third class on the U.S.S. Arizona when he was killed in the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, Dec. 7, 1941.

His name appears on a New York list of Jewish servicemen killed in World War II.
