PVT Robert Glenn Huff
Robert Glenn Huff enlisted in the Marines shortly before his 18th birthday. He died less than six months later in the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.
Mr. Huff was born July 2, 1923 at Fort Worth, Texas. His mother, Grayce Harlan Huff, was a homemaker and his father, Clinton Huff, a packing house employee.
By the time of the spring 1940 Census the son was in his junior year of high school. Both parents worked, though the description of their jobs is illegible on the Census form.
Young Mr. Huff enlisted on June 17, 1941, and went aboard the U.S.S. Arizona on Oct. 10. He was a private when he was killed that Dec. 7.
