BIOS, Stories and Pictures of every U.S.S. Arizona Crew Member
Bobbi Jo Buel-Carter, began a project to write a profile about each and every crew member killed aboard the U.S.S. Arizona to compliment the University of Arizona’s U.S.S. Arizona Mall Memorial. Several years later, she accomplished this tedious task, and each profile was posted on the Memorial’s Facebook page. While not every profile is fully complete the way she might have wanted it, she painstakingly researched each crew member and was able to pull together the most complete compilation of crew member biographies from the U.S.S. Arizonas ever written in one place. She kindly has allowed us to publish her work on this site in an effort to keep alive the memory and spirt of the crew that were killed December 7, 1941.
As we move forward, we hope this work will inspire other family members to continue to contribute pictures, documents and other stories to their family members profile. Along with those that perished on December 7th, we are also interested in including information from the survivors along with the past crew members. We hope to document and tell the stories of all that served aboard this iconic battleship.
