GM3c William Holman Hamilton

William Holman Hamilton was born July 28, 1920 in Arkansas to Eugene Alexander Hamilton, a carpenter, and Voda Holman Hamilton, a homemaker.

The mother died in 1934 in Oklahoma City.

William graduated from Foster High School in Oklahoma City in 1938 and enlisted in the Navy that October.

He was a gunner’s mate and petty officer third class on the U.S.S. Arizona when he was killed in the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, Dec. 7, 1941.
